The HTC has promised to push the Google’s latest Android 5.0 Lollipop updates to its latest devices; HTC One M8, One M7, One Mini, One Max, and also to lower grade smartphones.
The updates will be available first on new HTC tablet Nexus 9 from November 3. However, those with many smartphones, including the HTC One or One M8 are probably wondering when their phones will receive the latest software. According to HTC, the latest and newly-released Android 5.0 Lollipop will arrive to its mid-range and premium smartphones within 90 days after its release.
A senior manager from HTC tweeted the information on HTC One M8 and One M7 will begin updates to Android 5.0 Lollipop within 90 days of final software and mentions the software is not final yet.
Its still not clear exactly when the within 90 days will actually start, as HTC simply states that once they receive the final software from Google their software developers can start tweaking the update and combining the HTC Sense 6 UI into Android 5.0 Lollipop. Most likely the first update will start arriving within 90 days from November 3rd, but those in the United States might have a longer wait.
Android 5.0 Lollipop may become one of the best upgrades ever released for smartphones, as it comes with a whole new Material Design UI adding a more smoother interface, more responsive operating system, new visual elements, Notifications menu major tweaks, Private Mode, battery saving feature, security improvements, Android Smart Lock, Device Sharing capabilities with Guest User support and more other features.
