AT&T has released a new security update for LG G4 users on its network, which brings along with it a number of performance enhancements. The update also includes performance fixes for the keyboard, battery and touchscreen responsiveness.

Although there should be no impacts to settings or data, we recommend that you back up your media files to an SD card, a PC, or using a favorite application (from the Play Store), prior to upgrading the software.
To grab the update on your phone,
- Ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update.
- Connect your device to a Wi-Fi network, or make sure it has a strong AT&T Wireless network connection.
- Then go to Settings, “About phone” and check for an update.

AT&T is not the only carrier releasing this update, it looks like Verizon is also pushing an update for LG G4, but their change log only include “Android security patches”.
