Walkthrough

In order to find out where Kai is, we have to accomplish the secondary objective of Borderlands 2 The Chosen One by picking up three ECHO recorders belonging to him.

Tip: Actually, Kais location is revealed on the map the moment we arrive in Sawtooth Cauldron, but it isnt a bad idea to search the ECHOcast messages.

The first recorder in Borderlands 2 The Chosen One can be found near some lockers at the base of the huge tower from Sawtooth Cauldron.

The second ECHO recorder can be picked up much faster if we turn around from the first one, and then jump down from a shack on our right side in order to get to Main Street Reservoir region. Down here, we just have to pick it up from a wooden box nearby.

Then we get through the water, while paying attention to the submerged threshers. After we eliminate any resistance in this area, we search the final recorder near a building, on the water side.

Then we can head to the last waypoint to find Kais body. From his hand we grab the money Marcus asked us to retrieve, the nine bucks he owed. Now Borderlands 2 The Chosen One can be turned in to Marcus in Sanctuary, so we can attend to other quests in Sawtooth Cauldron.
