Borderlands 2 The Lost Treasure Walkthrough

Borderlands 2 The Lost Treasure can be activated in Sawtooth Cauldron, if we listen to the ECHO recorder from the cardboard box found near a tent from Sawtooth Stills region (the yellow exclamation mark on the north-eastern side of the map). If we listen, we find out that the bandits have a map to the lost treasure of Old Haven, thus we have to get it so we can find this treasure.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

Description

You found a part of a treasure map. There is only one thing to do: start killing bandits until you find the other parts of the map then assemble it and find the treasure. Admittedly, that was three things, but you get the idea.

Walkthrough

In Borderlands 2 The Lost Treasure, after Brick briefs us regarding the lost treasure, we have to find the four parts of the map. This can be done if we kill the bandits from around Sawtooth Cauldron. Some of them will drop the required clues, but this can be a tedious process considering that we dont know which ones have them. After we kill multiple enemies to acquire the map pieces (we may get lucky if we search the entire Smoking Guano Grotto), we need to travel to Caustic Caverns to follow the clues.

The first clue in Borderlands 2 The Lost Treasure can be found in Oozing Discharge region, on the right side, when we enter the area (where the acid pool is). It is a switch located on the middle pillar that sustains the broken railway.

The second switch is inside Infested Warehouse (northern part of Caustic Caverns). It is on the shore side of the raised platform from the center of the warehouse.

The third switch can be found under the wheel of the giant excavator in the western side of Caustic Caverns. We can look for it behind the damaged storeroom.

For the fourth switch in Borderlands 2 The Lost Treasure we have to get inside the mining facility in the center of the map, Dahl Deep Core 06. It is exactly on a wall in the first room, if we enter from Nether Hive (the same area where we find the last piece of evidence in Perfectly Peaceful optional mission).

Once we have activated four switches, we have to access the top level of the facility. For that we return to Abandoned Mining Site area, and we use the large elevator to get to Varkid Ramparts. From here, we just have to follow the path, while killing the creatures so we can enjoy the treasure without being disturbed by their presence.

When we are near the waypoint, Borderlands 2 The Lost Treasure can be turned in, and we do that by pulling the indicated lever. The mission ends, we receive our pistol, and we also have the opportunity to search the weapon cache that gets out from its hiding place.
