Facebook Messenger Gets Soccer Game

Facebook Messenger - Soccer Game

To celebrate Euro 2016 and Copa America, Facebook has launched a new Messenger mini game. The goal of this new secret soccer game is to prevent the ball from touching the ground while achieving your best possible score.

This is not the first time Facebook releases a hidden mini game for its Messenger app. In March, Facebook launched a Basketball game March Madness and the NBA season. The game was a huge success with over 1 billion games played so far. In addition, you can also play a secret chess game, by typing “@fbchess play” into a conversation with somebody.

Unfortunately, the game is mobile only and is not available for those who use Messenger within Facebook on the web, or its sleeker Messenger.com website.

The secret to getting to Soccer game is similar to the way you get to the basketball game, that is by sending a message with soccer emoji.

How To Play Soccer Mini Game In Facebook Messenger

  • Update your Messenger to the latest version
  • Open up a chat with a friend, or group of friends
  • Send a Soccer emoji to your friends
  • Tap the soccer emoji you just sent.
  • Start playing Soccer mini game!!

Luckily, you do not need to keep sending the emoji every time you want to play. Once you sent the Soccer emoji, you can always tap the emoji anytime to play the game.

Like with the basketball game, the Soccer game will also keep track of the high score among everyone in the chat thread. You will also notice that when you are done playing, your high score is posted within the conversation.
