Fandango is extending its Mobile Ticket service to Apple’s Passbook, the new iOS 6 application that collects users’ movie passes, transit cards, retailer loyalty punchcards and related documents.
The Fandango movie ticketing platform enables consumers to purchase paperless passes sent to their phones as scannable barcodes. iPhone and iPod users can now add Mobile Ticket purchases directly to the Passbook app, then show their iOS device screen to the ticket taker upon arrival at their local cinema, bypassing the box office line in the process.
