How To Be A Better Sniper In Call Of Duty

You ever wanted to grab that sniper rifle in Call of Duty and see how many kills you can get, only to get picked off by another sniper? Well this happens to everyone. But it isn’t just picking up the rifle and shooting! It takes tactics, concentration, and most of all, guts. You can be a better sniper in Call of Duty. Follow the simple steps below.

Choose the sniper rifle or something of the sort. Now later in the game when you get good you will unlock rifles with silencers and perks that make the gun more powerful. But when you first start out, you gonna have to use the basics. So pick up that rifle and move to your secondary weapon. Now this is good for another sniper rifle or a pistol. Now you have to resist picking a machine gun because these are to loud and will bring attention. Also choose good perks, Stealth and Camoflague will do the trick. Now that you got this down, lets move on to Step 2

Choose the Crows Nest. Now when you start playing you learn that “Crows Nest” means the spot you start sniping from. This part is one of the most important. So before you jump into that cave, make sure it doesn’t become a hotspot for grenades and RPG-7s. I’d say about 30 seconds to 1 minute is good. Once it looks clear, go over there.

Take out the Target. This part will be what shows real snipers, from the so called “Uber N00bs”. Now in all those cool sniper and assassination movies you always see snipers shooting the head. Now this is complete fiction. Now if you can get a headshot, take it. But don’t just sit there waiting for it! Sniper rifles almost always make one shot kills. So basically aim for the chest area or anywhere you can get the crosshairs to line up with the enemy. Now the perk Body Armor will make it difficult for you take out some guys, but stopping power will easily take care of that. Now once you get that guy in the scope, take the shot.

Once you make a kill, leave the crows nest. Never take more than 2 shots at one location. However, this rule is flexible. If you see 5 guys and you can take them out easily, go right ahead. But never sit somewhere for so long that people and (more importantly) other snipers can find you. So once you take out you man, run.

When the clip runs out, grab your knife. Now if you are a good sniper, your clip will eventually run out. In this case, you should grab your “knife” (Not your pistol) and cause as much damage as you can. Now in other words youre going on a suicide mission. But this is the way you can keep your stealth and still make kills. And for those who aren’t good with the knife, get good.

Note

  • Never snipe in a group, double the snipers means double the chance of getting shot
  • Always get intel from your team. Knowing whats going on in the field can help your game greatly
  • Remember that snipers also make good guards in Capture the Flag and Sabatoge
  • Always use your knife for when your changing locations. This keeps any resistance from making too much noise. And noise means death to snipers
  • And most importantly, Practice. Now every once in a while even the best sniper get shot in the back of the head or knifed. But don’t ever get mad, every time you will learn a little more.
  • Never make more noise than you have to
  • Always keep a low profile
  • Know your enemy and his/her habits
  • But most of all don’t let the enemy know where you are or what youre doing.
