How To Be A Good Sniper In Call Of Duty: United Offensive

So, you’d like to be a competent sniper on the CoD unreal engine? You can be a good sniper in CoD: United Offensive; follow the simple steps below.

Spawn with a rifle.

Find an inconspicuous place to set up. Thats IF you’re going to try to stationary snipe, which I don’t recommend.

Aim above the chest between the forehead and the base of the neck. These shots will yield the greatest result.

Stop ONLY to take a shot, when firing with the rifle at range. Once you’ve taken your shot, move sporadically while your character chambers a new round.

Try to pick up an SMG; PSSH, MP40, Thompson. These are lightweight and will help you greatly if someone manages to get past your rifle. Which they shouldn’t.

Avoid listening to music, this is a serious distraction.

Turn up your sound effects volume, footsteps etc. Being able to hear your enemy sneak up behind you is the difference between a frag and a death.

Be Patient!

Lead your target slightly, depending on your latency and the type of rifle you’re using. Usually a quarter inch (monitor scale) ahead of the direction your target is moving will yield a hit.

Note

  • Move from your location when there isn’t any combat around you. Stay mobile, have an escape route. If you think someone is on to you – move to another spot that gives you vantage to your previous. So you get to frag that guy twice.
  • Run with your pistol or smg out if there are no enemies in your immediate area, you move faster.
