How To Configure Weather App - Huawei Ascend Mate

Learn how to configure weather app on your Huawei Ascend Mate. Weather provides you with the latest weather information for any city around the world. You can share weather information with your family and friends. Before you use Weather, turn on your phone’s GPS and data service.

Adding a city

You can add cities you like to Weather and check their weather information.

  • On the home screen, touch Tools > Weather.

  • Touch List > + icon.

Note: Apart from your current city, you can add up to nine cities.

  • Enter a city name.

  • Matching cities are then displayed.

  • Select the city you wish to add.

Setting the default city

  • On the home screen, touch Tools > Weather.

  • Touch List > Home.

  • Touch the city you wish to set as the default city.

Deleting a city

  • On the home screen, touch Tools > Weather.

  • Touch List > Delete.

  • Select the city you wish to delete, and touch DELETE.

Updating weather

  • On the home screen, touch Tools > Weather.

  • Flick left or right to find the city whose weather you wish to update.

  • Touch to update the weather.

You can also set Weather to automatic update mode. Touch List > Menu, select Auto update, and set Update interval. Your phone will then update the weather at the interval you set.

Sharing weather information

Your phone lets you send weather information as a text message to remind your family and friends of weather changes.

  • On the home screen, touch Tools > Weather.

  • Flick left or right to find the city whose weather you wish to share.

  • Touch Share icon to display the messaging screen.

  • You can then:

  • Enter a phone number.

  • Touch to select a contact.

  • Touch Send icon to send the weather information to the recipient.
