How To Disable NFC On Samsung Galaxy S3

You can disable the NFC functionality on your Samsung Galaxy S3, follow the simple steps below.

One of the coolest functions of your Samsung Galaxy S III is its ability to communicate via NFC, all you need to do is put your device by an NFC enabled tag, and away it goes! It’s great for automation, ticketing and even mobile payment solutions.

But it’s always good to know how to turn a function off, especially when you’re half way through the day and your battery’s already down to its last knockings, or if you’re particularly security conscious and you want to avoid the potential for data theft. Check out how to do it?

  • Grab your Samsung Galaxy S III.
  • On your main home screen, tap Apps‘.
  • Choose Settings‘.
  • Scroll down and choose More Settings‘.
  • Tap the tick box to remove the tick and disable NFC.
  • Press your home button to return you to your main home screen.
