Find My iPad can help you locate and secure your iPad using the free Find My iPhone app on another iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, or using a Mac or PC web browser signed in to www.icloud.com.

Find My iPad includes:

Play Sound: Play a sound for two minutes.
Lost mode: You can immediately lock your missing iPad with a passcode and send it a message displaying a contact number. iPad also tracks and reports its location, so you can see where its been when you check the Find My iPhone app.
Erase iPad: Protects your privacy by erasing all the information and media on your iPad and restoring iPad to its original factory settings.

Note: To use these features, Find My iPad must have been turned on in iCloud settings on your iPad, and iPad must be connected to the Internet.

Turn on Find My iPad: Go to Settings > iCloud, then turn on Find My iPad.

Note: This article will work on all iPads using iOS 6; including iPad Mini, iPad 2, The New iPad (iPad 3), iPad 4 (iPad with Retina display).
