How To Use Image Viewer App - Samsung Galaxy Tab 3

Learn how to use Image Viewer on your Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. After taking a photo or recording a video, use the Image Viewer to view or play, share, delete, or edit your photos and videos.

  • Touch Image Viewer to view photos and videos.
  • Touch the screen to show or hide Image Viewer options.
  • For photos, touch the screen with two fingers or double-tap on the screen to zoom all the way in or out.
  • Sweep across the screen to display the next or previous photo or video. (Videos are indicated by the Play button.)

Note: The current photo or video is outlined in the thumbnails at the bottom of the screen. Touch a thumbnail to view the photo or video it represents.

  • Touch Change player icon to select a DLNA-enabled device.
  • To share photos or videos, touch Share icon. Touch an option, such as Email, and follow the on-screen instructions. After using this option, the most recent Share option is displayed in the Application Bar.
  • To edit the photo being displayed, touch Edit icon and then touch an app to launch and use to edit the photo.

  • To trim the video being displayed, touch Trim icon and then use the sliders at the bottom of the screen to trim the video.
  • To delete the photo or video being displayed, touch Delete bin icon and then touch Delete to delete the photo or Cancel to exit.
  • Touch Menu key to select Set as to assign a photo as a Contact photo or a Home screen, Lock screen, or Home and lock screens wallpaper.

Note: Photos and videos are stored in the /storage/emulated/ 0/DCIM/Camera folder as jpg and mp4 files.

  • To play a video, touch Play icon. Touch Pause icon to pause the video and touch Resume play icon to resume playing the video.
    • Touch Select device icon to select a DLNA-enabled device.
    • Touch Dolby to set the sound quality.
    • Touch the icons (for changing screen widths such as fit to screen, full screen, and original) in the lower left corner of the display screen while the video is playing to change the Display Mode from original size to full screen in ratio or full screen.
    • Touch and drag the dot on the end of the progress bar to fast forward or rewind the video. Touch the left end of the progress bar to restart the video. Touch the right end of the progress bar to end the video playback.
    • Touch Rewind icon to restart the video or Fast Forward icon to end the video.
  • Touch Pop up play icon to play a video as a small pop-up while viewing another screen. Touch and drag the pop-up video to the desired location on the screen. Double-tap the pop-up to return to full screen mode.
  • Touch Back key to return to the Camera main screen.

Note

This guide will work on all Samsung Galaxy Tabs; including Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.
