HTC’s latest flagship device is definitely one of the most anticipated handset, scheduled to make an appearance ant MWC 2015. And with the Barcelona event just around the corner manufacturers are doing all they can to fuel the hype around the new models. While Samsung is entangled in an interesting “official rumor” campaign it seems HTC is currently relying on a more traditional approach.
A new teaser video was recently released on HTC UK’s Twitter page. It is, of course meant to promote the highly-anticipated One (M9) and in particular its launch event, set for March 1. From the looks of things HTC will be streaming the event live starting 10:00 AM UTC so you can check that out at the official website when the time comes.

The video does not really disclose any new information about the handset. It shows a rather abstract violet material being rippled, which could be a reference to the front-facing speakers or perhaps even a color option, but more likely it is nothing more than a visually appealing effect. The only bit of text in the clip reads: “let them stare”, which again may hint at some new social features or simply refer to the video itself.
The new HTC smartphone will join the ranks of the select few high-end devices, powered by the Snapdragon 810. Presumably in will also pack 3GB RAM, 32GB on-board storage and up to 128GB microSD expansion support. Leaks also hint at a 5.0-inch Full HD display, a 20MP main camera with dual-LED flash and a 4MP UltraPixel front-facing one with a 2900mAh battery, all packed inside the 9.61mm thick body.
