HTC this quarter should announce a new flagship smartphone alongside a new version of its Sense UI. While the final name of the upcoming smartphone isn’t known yet (it won’t be One M9, and neither HTC Hima – since this is just a codename), the new version of Sense will most likely be Sense 7.
Both the Hima and Sense 7 are expected to be unveiled in March. Until then, it seems that we can take a peek at one of the new features that Sense 7 will bring: Avatar Maker. As its name suggests, this will allow users to create personalized avatars. It doesn’t appear to be a very important feature, but at least it’s something new. @upleaks posted two screenshots that reportedly show Sense 7’s Avatar Maker, though without providing any details about it.
The screenshots have 1080*1780 pixels, but that’s because the space used by the software navigation keys isn’t included (so the actual pixel resolution of the device the screenshots were taken on must be 1080*1920).
We already reported that the HTC Hima would feature a 5-inch display with 1080*1920 pixels, in addition to a Snapdragon 810 processor, 3 GB of RAM, a 20 MP rear camera, and a 2840 mAh battery.
