Today Sprint has announced that it will soon start selling the Nokia Lumia 635. The device will make it to Sprint as well as both its prepaid brands, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile.
In fact, those two will get it first. The Lumia 635 will become available online at Boost and Virgin on December 23. Boost will sell it in cyan, while Virgin will have the white model. In both cases, the price will be $99.99, excluding taxes. Though these being prepaid carriers, you won’t need to sign any long-term contracts to get the phone.
Starting on January 9, the Lumia 635 will also be up for grabs in at Boost Mobile’s stores, as well as select independent wireless dealers. And on January 16 the smartphone will be offered to Sprint’s postpaid customers too, but pricing hasn’t been announced yet. However, we should expect it to be cheap, if we go by its prepaid price.
The Lumia 635 is the first Windows Phone 8.1 device to launch on Sprint, and the first Lumia-branded handset to be offered to the company’s prepaid customers.
It comes with a 4.5-inch 854*480 touchscreen, a 5 MP rear camera, no front-facing snapper, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC with a 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a 1,830 mAh battery.
