Compass. This is made by four iron ingots and red stone dust. You must mine for both. This tool is used to point to the players’ spawn point.

Fishing Rod. This is made by 3 sticks and 2 strings. To make sticks see step 1. You can get the string from a spider or a monster. This tool is used for catching fish to eat.
Shears. 2 iron ingots. You will find these by mining. This tool is used to shear wool and cut leaves.
Sword. You need one stick and metal (wood, cobblestone, iron ingots, gold ingots, or diamond gems). To make sticks see step 1. You must mine for the metals This tool is used for protection or to destroy certain blocks.
