The much touted Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 has been released and available for download and is available for Windows Vista and Windows 7 with over 39 language support.
Microsoft has unleashed Internet Explorer 9 at the South West Interactive (SXSWi) event in Austin, Texas. Corporate VP of Internet Explorer, Dean Hachamovitch, has explained the hardware acceleration of IE 9 in Windows 7 and Windows Vista platforms.
Following are the features of Internet Explorer 9
- Features minimalistic design by cutting off the toolbars
- Improved overall performance compared to the IE8 by featuring a faster JavaScript engine and support for HTML5
- One Box: The unified address bar that allows entering the web URLs and also feeding search terms to get search results. One can also get browsing history links and bookmarks through the One Box.
- Hardware acceleration in Windows Vista and Windows 7 for page rendering
- Windows 7 Integration, Enhanced tabs and Pinned sites
- Performance Advisor for Add-ons
- InPrivate Browsing and Download Manager
- Tab Isolation and Recovery Enhanced tabs
- Tracking Protection stops third-party sites from building profiles on user’s web activities
For those who want the late Internet Explorer should remember that IE 9 is only available for Windows Vista and Windows 7.
