Microsoft is sending invites to media outlets to a special Windows 10 event on October 6. The event will take place in New York and we are expecting Microsoft to unveil a range of hardware running Windows 10. Microsoft is not revealing any details about what the mysterious hardware event is about, other than a hint that they will run Windows 10.
Based on past rumors we can guess that Microsoft will announce Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones, the Surface Pro 4 tablet and a new Microsoft Band at the event. Rumors about Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL has been around for months and specifications and images for both handsets have already leaked.
According to rumors, the Microsoft Lumia 950 will run on Snapdragon 808 processor and features a 5.2-inch QHD display with 2560 x 1440 resolution and a 3000 mAh battery. The Lumia 950 XL will run on Snapdragon 810 processor and features a 5.7-inch QHD display with 2560 x 1440 resolution and a 3300 mAh battery. Both handsets will have the same cameras, a 5-megapixel front camera and a 20-megapixel rear camera.
While we do not know any details about Surface Pro 4 tablet, we can expect Microsoft to keep the charging mechanism of Surface Pro 3 for businesses that have invested in accessories like the docking station. In addition, recent rumors have also pointed towards a 14-inch version of a Surface device.
