Microsoft Xbox One S

While Microsoft has hinted for a special E3 2016, it has not specifically said what to expect. However, it did not stop the rumor mill and many rumors suggests a new Xbox One. Earlier this month Microsoft has also dropped price for the original Xbox One ahead of E3, which further cements the idea of Microsoft announcing a new console in E3. Now, a recent leak shows an image of Microsoft’s Xbox One S ahead of Microsoft’s E3 2016 media briefing that is not due to start until tomorrow.

NeoGAF members have posted several images of what they say is the Xbox One S, and the leak suggests a huge overhaul for the not so old console. Xbox fans are going to like what they see here. According to the leaked image, the Xbox One S is 40% smaller than the standard Xbox One console and is also able to stand vertically. It will also feature a 2TB internal hard drive with a streamlined controller, support 4K video and High Dynamic Range content. It is also expected to be priced higher.

Microsoft is also working on a more powerful version of their console, codenamed Scorpio, which will be released in late 2017.
