New Features

The new Moto X runs Android 4.4 and you can expect the next Android L to reach this phone too. The Moto Voice assist has got some upgrades as it now allows users to share a Facebook status update, name the smartphone, and give the smartphones commands like “hey take a selfie”.

Motorola features include Moto Migrate (which allows user to import their contacts, videos and photos from other smartphones), Moto Assist, (which allows users to set actions on the smartphone such as a regular no-disturb hour) and Moto Alert (which lets the smartphone alert your friends or family during emergencies).

In the US, the 2014 edition of the Moto X is currently up for pre-order on both Motorola and AT&T. If youre willing to sign a two-year agreement with AT&T, the prices are the same as with Verizon: $99 for the 16GB model, and $50 more for the 32GB model. The Pure Edition Moto X is the unlocked version of the smartphone, and youll be able to use that version with any GSM carrier, such as T-Mobile or AT&T in the US. The 16GB version is priced at $499.99, while the 32GB version is priced at $549.99.
