According to Game Informer, who first reported the news, this new console will be more powerful than PS3 and Xbox 360 and is capable of running games at 1080p resolutions.
Nintendo is to show this console at the E3 event to garner interest in the publishers for a late 2012 launch. Also, according to IGN, Nintendo will release a pre-announcement statement this month.
