Chinese manufacturer Oppo has officially launched the Oppo R5S in Europe. R5S is an upgraded successor to the original super-thin Oppo R5. The new version features the same impressive design and minimal thickness, but with an increase in memory from 2GB to 3GB of RAM, ensuring you will be able to get things done with speed.
Oppo has also increased the internal storage to 32 GB in the R5S but unfortunately, there is no support for MicroSD cards. The Oppo R5S features a 5.2-inch AMOLED Full HD display, 13-MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a LED flash, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, and a 2,000mAh battery with Fast Charge Technology. For connectivity, the R5S has 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and a microUSB v2.0 port.
The phone maintains its slim figure, measuring only 4.85 mm thick, and ships running Oppo’s ColorOS 2.0, which is based on Android version 4.4. Inside is a 1.5 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor.
The new Oppo R5S will cost around $220 (€199) and will be available in grey, which is actually the only color option. The device will be available starting on August 25, 2015.
