The phone has a rugged and sturdy built, but the glossy shell is a fingerprint magnet and can easily get scratched. The QWERTY keypad has well-spaced keys a good tactility and can be comfortable for those with stubby fingers too. The D-pad is made up of an optical track pad, which seems too sensitive to operate. The 2.2 inch display size is crisp and bright. The camera delivers poor photos and videos, but you cant expect much from a 1.3 megapixel camera. The TQ-21 has built-in memory of paltry 250 KB, but you can expand up to 8 GB using micro-SD card. The 1200mAh Li-ion battery offers approximately 4 hours of talk time and 250 hours on standby. A 3.5 mm headphone jack allows music and FM to be enjoyed via the bundled headphones. The bundled headphone is not of superior quality in build and sound reproduction, but serves the purpose. Media such as MP3, MP4 and 3GP files can be transferred via a mini-USB interface. The overall sound quality of the inbuilt speaker and the headphone is average, but the voice calling quality is quite good. The TQ-21 is recommended for those who need a social networking mobile on a very tight budget.
