Road Map For HTC’s Android Lollipop Updates

Road Map For HTC's Android Lollipop Updates

The HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 will soon receive their Android 5.0 update. But suppose you own the HTC One E8, the HTC Desire 610 or the HTC One max. When will these models be updated to the latest and greatest Android build? You can follow a road map that came out of Vietnam this morning.

According to the map, after the HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 are updated, the next on the list to be lollipopped will be the HTC One E8. This is a polycarbonate clad version of the HTC One M8. The update will take place in the second quarter of this year. Also expected to be updated in the April-June period is the camera-centric HTC Desire EYE, the HTC One M8 EYE and the HTC Butterfly 2.

Seven models are expected to receive Android 5.0 in the third quarter of 2015. These phones include the HTC One max, HTC M7 Dual SIM, HTC Desire 816, HTC Desire 820u, HTC One M8 mini, One E8 China, and the One M8 EYE China. Models scheduled to receive Android 5.0 in the third or fourth quarter are the HTC Desire 610, HTC Desire 820s, HTC Desire 510 and the HTC One mini.

The report out of Vietnam also suggests that HTC will start pushing out Sense 7 after it releases the HTC Hima in March.
