Samsung Galaxy S5 To Launch In Two Plastic Versions

Samsung has plans to launch two versions of the Galaxy S5 this spring, to compete on multiple price levels. One of the versions is called “Prime” and another is called “Standardsaid by the analyst. Rumors of Samsung would offers a best Galaxy S5 option with a metal case, this new rumors suggests all Galaxy S5 models will use a plastic casing.

Both versions will carry a 5.2-inch display, with the “Prime” model said to pack a 1440 x 2560 resolution with a 565ppi pixel density. It include 32-bit octa-core Samsung Exynos 5430 processor. The “Standard” model packing a 1080 x 1920 pixel density with 423ppi and 32-bit quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor.

According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said, Fingerprint is necessary for a star model, but the note suggests that Samsung will need to include a fingerprint reader even if the capabilities of the scanner are not as mature as the one in the iPhone 5s.

Earlier this month, Lee Young Hee, executive vice-president of Samsung’s mobile business, said: “Many people are fanatical about iris recognition technology. We are studying the possibility”.
