Samsung and Barnes & Noble are bringing a larger Nook tablet. The announcement of the companies on Wednesday, Oct. 22 is of a new and bigger Galaxy Tab 4 Nook that will sport a 10.1-inch display.
Samsung, which worked on the hardware makings and Barnes & Noble on the software have stated that $200 worth of assorted content are to go with the new device.
The Nook device will also include the Google Play Store. But from the built-in NOOK Store, users can indulge themselves to heaps of book selections, TV shows, magazines and apps. The 7-inch Nook holds the same amount of content too. So basically, a $30 ‘instant rebate’ is already there.
Customers will get four bestselling e-books ready on their visual shelves to jumpstart their reading endeavors. To expand the activities to engage in, users will also be treated to a free 14-day subscription to one of select 15 magazines supported by the Nook on top of a single episode from TV series “The Newsroom,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and “The Octonauts”.
The larger Nook features 16GB built-in storage capacity coupled with a 1280*800 resolution. Pretty much like its immediate predecessor, cameras were incorporated on the new Nook. A 1.3MP front camera and a 3MP rear camera. The Galaxy Tab 4 Nook 10.1 cost $299.99.
