Sony India is sending out invitations to Indian media regarding a press conference in New Delhi on 26 May 2015. The invite has a water graphic hinting at the launch of a water resistant device. It is expected that the Xperia M4 Aqua will be announced at the event, but according to Gizbot, there will also be another new phone.
Previously there are rumors that the new smartphone that Sony is planning to announce could be Xperia Z4 or Xperia A4. Now, Gizbot has updated its claim, citing an unknown source that Sony might announce a new Xperia Smartphone for India and it is not Xperia Z4.
The Xperia M4 Aqua features a 64-bit Octa-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8939 processor, Adreno 405 GPU, 13-megapixel rear camera with auto focus, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 2 GB RAM, microSD card support for up to 128 GB, 2400 mAh, and 5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels. It also comes in 16 GB and 32 GB variants and Android 5.0 Lollipop
