Twitter has finally updated its Mac app to 4.1, which brings many of the features that are available only in mobile version. With this update, the new Mac app will have Moments, support for creating and viewing Polls and GIF search.
Moments was first introduced on the Twitter mobile apps and on the web back in October that shows ongoing events and trending tweets in various categories. Previously, Polls support is only available on the web and mobile versions, but with this update, users can now create polls and participate in polls from the Mac client.
While GIF support was there since 4.0, the new update improves the performance, adds support for GIF searches, and embeds. With GIF search, users can now easily find the right GIF for their tweets.
Here is the full change log:
- Find the best of Twitter in an instant with Moments. Follow top stories through immersive pics, clips, and conversations. Get insights and perspectives you will not find anywhere else.
- Create polls on Twitter and with just a couple of taps, people can weigh in on all the topics they care about.
- Sharing GIFs in Tweets and Direct Messages is even easier with our new GIF search.
Twitter for Mac is available for free from the Mac App Store.
