Verizon has announced that the recently launched LG Optimus Zone 3 is available for prepaid customers for $70. The downside to the offer is you need to activate the phone on at least $30 prepaid plan that can get you unlimited talk and text.
Verizon also offers a $45 and $60 prepaid plan which will give you 1 GB and 3 GB of mobile data respectively.
- $60 per month for unlimited talk and text with 3 GB of data
- $45 per month for unlimited talk and text with 1 GB of data
- $30 per month for unlimited talk and text with Wi-Fi only access for data
The LG Optimus Zone 3 is clearly and entry level smartphone, featuring 1.1 GHz quad core Snapdragon 210 processor, a 4.5-inch touchscreen, a 5 MP rear camera, a 2 MP selfie shooter, and 32 GB of expandable storage. It runs Android Lollipop, and since the exact version is not mentioned we assume that is 5.0 and not 5.1.
While you can find better configured Chinese models for slightly increased cost, LG Optimus Zone 3 does have one advantage over its competitors as it offers 4G LTE connectivity on the largest US network.
