Halo: The Master Chief Collection will get an update today, that will address problems with the campaign, user interface and some party issues with matchmaking. But as 343 noted in an earlier post, a patch to fix severe multiplayer matchmaking problems isn’t coming until sometime next week.
Earlier today, 343 Industries, rolled out an update that was aimed at improving the stability of dedicated servers and at setting the stage for future matchmaking content updates. They even postponed the Halo pre-season championship tournament until the issue is resolved.
What tonight’s update doesn’t include is a solution for the troubles that have plagued Halo players attempting to get into multiplayer matches in any of the four titles included in The Master Chief Collection. That fix is coming in a larger patch that’s focused on matchmaking performance, an update that’s scheduled to be released next week. Until then players can follow the advice of the developers to play multiplayer game.
